Germany: Marburg Mercenaries sign University of Montana safety Reid Miller

The Marburg Mercenaries, German Football League quarterfinalists in 2019, have bolstered their defense with the signing of University of Montana safety Reid Miller.

The 5’10”, 210 lb Miller, a native of  Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, spent the 2018 season with the Grizzlies after playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks for three years. He played in all 11 games for the Grizzlies making eight starts. Miller was Montana’s fourth-leading tackler with 68 total takedowns (38 solo) and tied for a team-high two interceptions. He also recovered two fumbles, recorded four pass deflections and two pass breakups. At Arkansas, Miller played in 37 games from 2015 to 2017, mostly on special teams.

After leaving Montana, Miller went to rookie minicamp with the New Orleans Saints.

He graduated from the IMG Academy (secondary school) in Florida and helped the team to finish 10-1 in only its second season of varsity football. He posted 83 tackles, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and seven pass breakups as a senior.

At both IMG Academy and Arkansas, Miller was a teammate of Danish NFL (4th round Draft pick of New England Patriots in 2019) lineman Hjalte Froholdt.
