Germany’s Ingolstadt Dukes sign QB Chris Forcier

The Ingolstadt Dukes, who play in the German Football League have signed their quarterback for the 2020 season, Chris Forcier from Furman University (NCAA Div. I, Southern Conference).

The Dukes finished fifth in the eight team GFL South division in 2019 with a 5-9 record.

The 31 year old Forcier, a 6’3″, 212 lb native of La Jolla, California, played with the Wroclaw Panthers in Poland’s Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego but suffered a season-ending injury early in the year. At Furman, he set numerous school records and in his senior year (2011) he threw for 2,265 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for another 250. With blazing 4.39, 40 yard speed he attracted the attention of the New York Jets where he spent training camp in 2012 as well as the Jacksonville Jaguars. He signed with the Milano Rhinos in 2013 leading them to the playoffs.

He is not the only quarterback in his family as both his brothers Tate (Michigan) and Jason (Stanford) were Div. 1 college quarterbacks.
