After two losses, the Győr Sharks needed some changes. Head coach Dustin Hawke Willingham took matters into his own hands, stepping in as the team’s quarterback. The Sharks did execute the plays better than the last two games but the rainy weather did not make it easy for the receivers. The Cowbells took a 6-0 lead on Norbert Zax’s 20 yard reception. Although the home team came close to equalizing after Tamás Csizmazia’s fumble recovery, Ádám Magyar from the visitors regained possession.

In the second quarter, the Cowbells took a two-score lead. as Sharks punter Ferenc Rozmann bobbled the low snap and Budapest recovered the ball on the Gyor eight yard line. Troy Baker’s squad took advantage of the good field position and scored again with Márton Mészáros’ touchdown grab making it 12-0.

The Sharks came out more motivated in the second half and narrowed the lead to 12-6 on Péter Baranyai’s magnificent run. Just when it looked like Győr would make a comeback, Márton Németh made two interceptions to keep the Cowbells in front.

In the last period, Tamás Váry restored the two-score lead on a quarterback sneak. The Sharks kept battling but turned the ball over twice on downs and the Cowbells came away from Nyúl with a hard fought win.
