Italy: Ancona Dolphins sign ALL Star DB Bo Sanders

The Ancona Dolphins of the Italian Football League (IFL) have signed former Elon University (NCAA, DI, FCS) defensive back Bo Sanders for the 2024 season.

Sanders was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, before moving to North Carolina to play his college football in the CAA on the East Coast. During his four year career, Sanders tallied 140 tackles, three interceptions, eight pass breakups, two sacks, and a touchdown – the majority of which coming in his final year in 2023.

For his efforts, Sanders earned a spot on the All-CAA Team. Despite a mediocre 6–5 overall record (6-2 in conference) in 2023, Sanders stood out as one of the key players on the Phoenix’s defense.

Fresh from division one football, Sanders will now be traveling to the beautiful Adriatic coast city of Ancona in the middle of Italy for his first European season. The team is coming off one of its best seasons to date where they were just a game away from making the Italian Bowl. Much of the team has returned and if Sanders can back the impact his resume suggests, the Dolphins will be well within reach of another post-season crusade.
