Jadrian Clark joins UWE Bullets as offensive coordinator

Nordic Storm quarterback Jadrian Clark has joined the UWE Bullets as offensive coordinator, marking a significant transition from his decorated playing career to coaching while he continues doctoral studies at the University of the West of England. The move brings one of Europe’s most accomplished American football players to the Bullets’ coaching staff, where he will replace long-time play-caller Frankie Pankhurst and bring championship experience to the program.

Inaugural success with expansion franchise
Clark added to his already storied career resume this past season, when he led the expansion Nordic Storm to immediate success by capturing the North Division title and advancing to the European League of Football semifinals in their inaugural campaign. This remarkable achievement demonstrated Clark’s ability to elevate a new franchise and adapt his leadership to build a competitive team from its foundation. The Storm’s rapid ascent under his guidance showcased the quarterback’s strategic understanding and ability to implement successful systems quickly.

Championship pedigree and elite performance
Prior to his success with Nordic Storm, Clark established himself as one of Europe’s premier quarterbacks by leading the Rhein Fire to back-to-back ELF championships in 2023 and 2024. His exceptional performance earned him both league MVP and Championship Game MVP honors, cementing his status among the elite players in European football. During his two regular seasons with Rhein Fire, Clark threw for 5,801 yards and 80 touchdowns in 24 games, demonstrating consistent excellence and offensive mastery that he now brings to his coaching role.

Proven leadership across multiple leagues
Clark’s leadership capabilities have been consistently demonstrated throughout his career, having led teams to three of the five ELF championship games since the league’s inception in 2021. His experience spans multiple European leagues, including his dominant 2019 season with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns where he threw for 4,009 yards and 51 touchdowns en route to the German Bowl, and his 2020 Austrian Football League championship with the Dacia Vienna Vikings where he threw for 932 yards and 13 touchdowns without an interception in three playoff games.

Academic integration and coaching future
Clark’s return to UWE represents a homecoming, having completed his Master’s degree at the university in summer 2025 before embarking on doctoral studies. His familiarity with the institution creates a unique opportunity to blend academic pursuits with coaching responsibilities, allowing him to mentor players both on and off the field while continuing his own educational development. This transition from elite player to coach represents a substantial gain for British university football and demonstrates the growing connectivity between professional European leagues and developmental programs in the United Kingdom.
