The LG OLED Black Demons Las Rozas solidified their status as Spain’s premier American football powerhouse, defeating the Badalona Dracs 36-14 in the 2025 Spanish Bowl at Badalona Municipal Stadium.
The victory secured a historic three-peat for the Black Demons, capping a flawless LNFA season and adding a second consecutive domestic double (league and cup) to their legacy.
Landers’ MVP masterclass steals the show
Quarterback Theo Landers, the Canadian maestro, delivered a career-defining performance, accounting for four touchdowns to earn Spanish Bowl MVP honors. His poise under pressure and connection with receivers Alejandro García and Marcos de la Mata dismantled the Dracs’ secondary, while his fourth-quarter scramble for a 14-yard score extinguished any hope of a comeback. “Theo was unstoppable today,” praised Black Demons coach Jesús Fernández. “He’s the engine of this dynasty.”

Dracs’ early promise fades under Rozas’ onslaught
The Dracs, seeking their 12th national title, stunned the champions early. Safety Tom Gabarró intercepted Landers on the opening drive, setting up star running back Keshawn Williams’ electrifying 80-yard touchdown sprint. But Las Rozas responded swiftly, with Landers firing a 25-yard strike to García to tie the game 7-7.
Second-quarter surge sets the tone
The Black Demons seized control in the second quarter behind their dominant offensive line. Landers threaded a 10-yard TD pass to tight end Javier Molina, then exploited a coverage lapse for a 34-yard score to de la Mata. A missed Dracs field goal before halftime left the score 21-7, sapping the hosts’ momentum.
Late flurry seals historic three-peat
A defensive stalemate defined the third quarter, but Landers reignited the rout early in the fourth, dodging three tacklers for a highlight-reel TD. Williams (18 carries, 132 yards) answered with a 5-yard plunge to cut the deficit to 28-14, only for Landers to respond with a 12-yard TD pass to Molina. De la Mata’s two-point conversion dash pushed the lead to 36-14, while cornerback Álvaro Cansinos’ interception on the ensuing drive iced the game.

Legacy intact, challenges await
“This three-peat is for everyone who doubted us,” declared Fernández, whose team outscored opponents 412-89 this season. Dracs coach Óscar Calatayud lamented missed opportunities but lauded his team’s resilience: “We’ll be back stronger.”
For Badalona, rebuilding begins anew—but in Las Rozas, Spanish football’s gold standard remains unchallenged.
