LIVESTREAM: 2016 IFAF U19 World Championship Canada Faces Team Mexico

In a game to decide a spot in the gold medal final, Team Canada and Team Mexico will face each other Thursday June 7 in the 2016 IFAF Under-19 World Championship in Harbin China.

The two teams met earlier in the tournament with Canada prevailing 30-16 after trailing Mexico 16-3 at halftime and 16-10 late in the third quarter. But three unanswered touchdowns for Canada turned the tide.

Running back Félix Lussier-Roy had two touchdowns for Canada in that first game against Mexico while the defense stepped up getting an interception and blocking a punt both of which turned into touchdowns.

However, Mexico’s speedy defense forced four interceptions and a safety and were a key to Mexico’s dominance early in the game.

The winner of this game will play in the championship final Sunday July 10. The loser will play the loser of the game between Team USA and Japan for the bronze medal also on June 10.
