LIVESTREAM Austria: Dacia Vienna Vikings @ Swarco Raiders, April 9, 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET)

In a rematch of last year’s Austrian Bowl, the Vienna Vikings will visit the Swarco Raiders in this early-season rivalry game. These two teams know each other very well having met in the last four championship games with many epic regular-season battles along the way.

This year many of the team’s most experienced players have opted to play for the club’s ELF teams leaving this year’s Austrian Football League matchup between the two powerhouses more mysterious than ever.

One thing we do know about these two rivals is they started the season off in different ways.

The Vienna Vikings came out strong in their debut defeating the Znojmo Knights 43-14. Young quarterback Nico Hrouda threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns in the win, finding a plethora of receivers. The young Austrian passer and American running back Devontae Jordan give this Vikings offense plenty of big-play potential.

Defensively, the Vikings have plenty of young talent to rely on as Daniel Kromer and Marcel Kovarik will try to shut down a explosive Raiders‘ offense in this rivalry matchup.

The Raiders didn’t have the same luck in week one falling in a nail biter to the Telfs Patriots 44-42. The Raiders gave up 517 yards as the Patriots marched up and down the field making big play after big play. Expect this proud team to respond and come out playing physical football on defense this week.

While Swarco’s defense struggled, their offense nearly made up for it as dynamic quarterback Isaiah Weed and veteran running back Mike Gentili put on a show combining for 445 yards and seven touchdowns in the loss.

Expect both teams to play hard in this one as some of Austria’s best young talent will be on display in another epic meeting of rivals.
