The Butchers looked great last week defeating the Kotka Eagles 44-0. Quarterback Brandon Gwinner put on a show throwing for five touchdowns and adding another on the ground. Gwinner was able to find receiver Miko Seppanen and Luukas Eerola often creating big play after big play. Running back Michael Fiskari also ran the ball well last week averaging nearly six yards a carry. However, expect the Butchers to air it out again today against a UNC secondary that has struggled.

Veteran Timi Nuikka leads a Butchers defense out on the field tonight. This unit hopes to parlay the success of last weeks shut out and take advantage of a weak Crusaders offense.

UNC’s offense on the other hand has struggled to open the season. quarterback Shay Netter has looked to involve veteran Cedric Johnson along with speedy brothers Miles and Nolan Corpening. The UNC coaching staff could look to give Johnson more time behind center and give the defense another look. The Crusaders’ offensive line will have to play well tonight if they are going to be able to pull off the upset.

Defensively, brothers Miles and Nolan Corpening are two impact defensive backs who can change the game at any time. Look for either brother to make an impact in all three phases tonight, as they’ve been plating both ways as well as returning kicks.

With a win tonight the Butchers could move to 2-1 putting them in a good position for a playoff spot down the line. The Crusaders on the other hand hope to find their identity tonight after losing their first two games by a combined score of 12-87.
