This French D1 Elite league Conference A battle will see the top-of-the-standings Asnieres Molosses (2-1) take on the defending champion but currently winless Thonon Black Panthers (0-1-1).

The Black Panthers season has not been ideal for them so far as they currently sit on a 0-1-1 record with a loss to the Flash 31-7 before a matchup with Rouen which saw both teams walk away with 34 points on the board and a draw.

The Molosses on the other hand sit on a 2-1 record and are looking like the favorites going into this contest. A week one loss to the Flash 21-14 was immediately forgotten about in the Asnieres locker room as they pounced on Rouen in a 26-18 win and then presided over a 41-6 victory over the fourth place Saint-Ouen Cougars.

Where this match-up gains some intrigue is in the head-to-head standings between these two teams as the Black Panthers have won the last five games between these two sides. So with more momentum and a yearn to change the history of the this team, the Molosses will be looking to take away a win this weekend and stop the Black Panthers win streak.
