The Villepinte Diables Rouges (1-1) will play host to the Asnieres Molosses (1-1) Saturday, February 15 in a battle of Northern Division rivals as the French D1 Elite league enters its third week of action.

The Rouges opened the season, their first in France’s top league, by beating the Saint-Ouen Cougars 20-6 but then dropped a narrow 10-8 decision to the defending champion Thonon Black Panthers in Week #2. Meanwhile, Asnieres whipped the Rouen Leopards 33-6 but lost 22-12 to the La Courneuve Flash.

This is the first meeting ever between these two teams, but with the way the Rouges opened the season, this one could go either way.
