The Berlin Rebels (1-0) will play host to the Hildesheim Invaders (1-1) Saturday, May 25 as the German Football League heads into the third weekend of action.

The last time these two teams met was in 2019 when Hildesheim defeated the Rebels twice, 56-41 and 36-30.

The Rebels are coming off a thrilling last second come from behind 39-38 victory over the Saarland Hurricanes last week. Meanwhile, Hildesheim beat the Berlin Adler 49-42 a week ago after losing 56-21 to the defending champion Potsdam Royals to open the season.

Rebels quarterback Tyquell Fields threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Saarland with his key targets being Austin Osborne who had eight catches for 146 yards and a score and Lewis Kirby who caught six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Expect more of the same today.

Hildesheim quarterback Nelson Hughes has thrown for 504 yards and four touchdowns in the two games with Lennart Stukenborg being his main target with 10 receptions for 106 yards and Pieter Solf with five catches for 102 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Grant has rushed for 101 yards and two scores while Hughes tops the team with 138 yards rushing and two touchdowns with Rayshon Mills with 22 carries for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

While the Rebels came out slow last week against Saarland falling behind by three touchdowns early, they will be ready for a Hildesheim team that seems to have found its rhythm after the weak opening day performance against Potsdam.
