LIVESTREAM Germany PPV: Regensburg Phoenix @ Ravensburg Razorbacks, Aug. 23, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 9 am ET)
The Ravensburg Razorbacks (7-3) host the Regensburg Phoenix (5-5) Sunday in a German Football League matchup at TeleData Stadium with the Razorbacks battling for second place in the GFL South and the Phoenix riding a four-game winning streak into the penultimate weekend of the regular season.
The Razorbacks have backed up their place in the standings with production on both sides of the ball. The offense is averaging 36.1 points per game, while the defense is surrendering just 16.8.
Quarterback Broghean McGovern has been driving that attack. He enters Sunday leading the GFL with 2,647 passing yards and has thrown 28 touchdown passes, tied for the league lead. With the race for second potentially coming down to the final weekend, another productive afternoon from McGovern could give Ravensburg some valuable breathing room.

Phoenix has turned its season around
The Phoenix arrive as a much different team from the one that opened its first season in Germany’s top division with four straight losses.
Regensburg has responded by climbing back to 5-5 and enters Ravensburg on a four-game winning streak. That turnaround has pushed the Phoenix into fifth place in the GFL South and given them plenty of momentum heading into one of their toughest road assignments.
Defense has played a major role. Regensburg has forced nine fumbles and intercepted 12 passes, making ball security a major priority for the Razorbacks. One loose football or hurried throw could quickly give the Phoenix the short field they are looking for.
Razorbacks look to keep pressure on Pforzheim
The overall numbers still lean toward Ravensburg. While the Phoenix average 23.4 points per game and allow 26.5, the Razorbacks have been considerably more productive offensively while giving up fewer than 17 points a game.
But Regensburg’s four-game surge makes this far from a routine late-season assignment.
For the Razorbacks, the formula is straightforward: protect the football, get McGovern and the offense moving and take care of business at home. For the Phoenix, another road victory would extend a remarkable midseason turnaround and put another major result on their first GFL campaign.
