LIVESTREAM Polish Semifinal: Warsaw Mets @ Silesia Rebels, June 25, 17:00 CET (5 pm, 11 am EDT)

The Silesia Rebels will play host to the Warsaw Mets as the Polish Football League semifinals wind up Sunday, June 25.

The Rebels finished first in the PFL South with a record of 5-3 while Warsaw wound up in second in the PFL North at 4-4 thanks to a win on the final weekend of regular season play against the Olsztyn Lakers.

The last time these two teams faced each other was early in the 2022 campaign when the Mets beat Silesia 27-20.

For the Rebels, quarterback Carlton Aiken has the offense humming averaging 30 points a contest. His favorite targets are former Great Britain international Leonard Sosoclis, along with Robert Szmielak and Dawid Kaczor. Running back Bartosz Słomka is also a key.

Defensively, Silesia has given up a league worst 240 points in eight games or 30 points a game.

Warsaw’s offense relies on the playmaking ability of quarterback Torrin Campbell (Shaw University) who has wide receivers Jan Omelańczuk and Jedrzej Kubica as key targets while running back Krzysztof Andrukonis is a definite threat both out of the backfield and catching passes.

The Mets‘ defense has also struggled at times, surrendering just over 24 points a game.

Predicting the outcome of this matchup is tough. However, over the years the advantage has gone to the visiting team. In the four times these two have met since 2020, the visiting team has won each time with the teams each having two victories.
