LIVESTREAM Romanian Semifinal: Mures Monsters @ Resita Locomotives, Nov. 14, 10:00 CET (10 am, 4 am ET)

The number two seeded Resita Locomotives (3-2) will play host to the number three Mures Monsters (3-2) Sunday, November 14 in the second semifinal of the Romanian League of American Football.

The winner of this game will advance to the Ro Bowl where they will face the defending champion Bucharest Rebels who defeated the Cluj Crusaders 56-0 in the other semifinal game.

In the only meeting between the two teams during the regular season, the Locomotives downed Mures 36-16.

Resita enters the playoff game on a two-game losing streak after opening the season with three straight wins, beating the Bucharest Titans 56-0, the Cluj Crusaders 39-2 and the Monsters. But they then fell to the league-leading Rebels 42-6 and suffered a surprising 36-29 loss to the Timisoara 89ers to wind up the regular season.

For Mures, the road to the semifinals was slightly different as they opened the season with a tough 18-12 loss to the Rebels but then whipped the Titans 62-0. After losing to the Locomotives, Mures won their final two games, defeating the 89ers 24-18 and the Crusaders 26-24.

The Locomotives are led by quarterback Kevin Stringer (Fort Hayes State) who has thrown six touchdown passes and scored another four touchdowns on the ground. His main target is wide receiver Devion Young (Jacksonville State) while the defense relies on linebacker Billy Hatten.

For the Monsters, veteran lineman Tim McGee (Jacksonville State) is a key to both the offense and defense while quarterback Maksym Cherepivsyi (Ukraine) leads an offense that scored 140 points in five games.
