The Las Rozas Black Demons (4-0) will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak when they host the Coslada Camioneros (3-2) Saturday, March 9 as Spain’s Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano passes the midpoint of the season.

The Black Demons have opened the season with four straight wins, three lopsided after beating the Coslada Camioneros 35-6, the Alcobendas Cavaliers 36-7 and Gijon Mariners 49-7. In between they edged arch rivals, Osos Rivas 10-6. The Camioneros defeated the Mariners twice, 34-20 and 31-20 while also downing Alcobendas 21-18. They lost to Las Rozas and Osos 48-0.

Black Demons quarterback Theo Landers tossed three touchdown passes in the first half of the rout of the Mariners and ran another one in before being relieved in the second half. Expect the same aerial attack in today’s contest.

The Camioneros offense is led by quarterback Iván López, who threw four touchdown passes in the win over Gijon finding Iván García for two scores and Americans Mason Tyler Wilfong and Ethan Fischler for one each. López has thrown 11 touchdown passes so far good for third in the LNFA.

This could be a long day for Coslada as the Black Demons have looked impressive this season. The defending champions are playing at home and will likely extend their lead in the standings.
