The L’Hospitalet Pioners (1-3) will fly to Mallorca to take on the Voltors (3-1) in this Eastern Conference LNFA Serie A matchup. These two teams bet back in week two with the Voltors winning a nail bitter 20-12. Now at the halfway point of the regular season, both teams hope to earn some movement in the win column.

Mallorca has shown all season that they are a tough team to beat with big wins in the eastern conference over Valencia and Zaragoza. However, they did drop their first game last week falling to a strong Badalona Dracs team 17-6.

Young Spanish quarterback Diego Lliteras has played well as one of the league’s few homegrown passers generating six total touchdowns. Expect him to continue to look for Javier Alberola who has been one of the league’s top scorers so far this season.

On defense, the Voltors feature Francisco Olivas and defensive lineman Nicolas Barrientos who has three sacks this season. They will look to dominate at the line of scrimmage today and get another win in front of their home crowd in beautiful Mallorca.

The Pioners head into this game on a three-game slide as head coach Bertu Fernández hopes to turn things around with a big road win. This team is also led by a Spanish quarterback Adrian Moreno who has put up seven total touchdowns. Behind him, Brazilian running back Jean Carlos Barbosa will need a big game if the Pioners can pull off the upset.
