Quarterback Adrian Moreno played well with three total touchdowns in the first week. While Brazilian running back Jean Carlos Barbosa scored another two touchdowns on the ground. The two helped the Pioners to an offensive explosion winning 37-15 against the Valencia Firebats.

The Voltors are making their debut this season as they were one of two teams that did not play in week one. Head coach Jesus Sanchez returns to lead the Voltors who look to make it back to the postseason. Sanchez has recruited two veteran former Barcelona Dragons players and a young Spanish quarterback in Deigo Lliteras with a high ceiling and NCAA interest.

The Voltors also introduced three new players including Oscar Patrick Munoz a standout defensive back from Mexico. Munoz is an aggressive, skilled, opportunistic, and talented player who recently starred for the Pumas CU at the highest level of Mexican college football. The Mexican national team player was also recently drafted in the LFA draft.

The Pioners hope to go to 2-0 against a new-look Mallorca Voltors team hitting the field for the first time in 2023.
