LIVESTREAM: Team Mexico Opens World University Championship Title Defense Against Team China

Team Mexico, made up of veteran college players from the two university leagues in Mexico, opens the defense of their World University Championship title tonight against Team China.

This will be the second time these two teams meet in international play. Both Mexico and China competed in the 1st World University Championships in American Football in 2014 in Sweden.

Mexico won that tournament while China came away with many valuable lessons. Mexico defeated Japan 14-6 in the gold medal game. China did not score a point but the coaching staff, which included former NFL running back Ricky Williams came away with optimism about the future of the game in China.

Although China is not expected to come close to winning against the host Mexicans, they will no doubt have taken another step in the development of the game in that country.

Kickoff: June 2, 6 PM (5 PM EDT, 1 AM CET)
