France: Marseille Blue Stars sign top Canadian QB Kaleb Scott

The Marseille Blue Stars have signed Canadian quarterback Kaleb Scott for the 2020 season.

The Blue Stars reached the wild card playoffs in 2019 in France’s Elite Division.

The 6’3″, 194 lb Scott, a native of Mount Albert, Ontario, spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Canadian college Saint Mary’s Huskies, helping them to a 14-3 record over the two years, throwing for 4,494 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 1,209 yards and six touchdowns. He had returned to Canada after two stints with NCAA Division II schools. He first attended Malone University in Canton, Ohio in 2014 and then transferred to Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Initially, the Blue Stars had signed Trevor Knight, but he subsequently accepted an off from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.
