Nordic U17 Championship tournament kicks off on AFI.tv
The Nordic U17 Championship is set to kick off at Myyrmäki football stadium in Vantaa, Finland, today Wednesday, October 19.
The reigning champions, Sweden along with Finland, Denmark and Norway will square off for the seventh time since 2008.
The last time this tournament was held, in 2019, Team Sweden defeated Finland 13-7 in the championship final.
Of the six tournaments that have been held since 2008, Team Sweden has won four and Team Finland two.
The winners of today’s games will face each other in the gold medal final on Saturday, October 22 while the losers will battle it out for the bronze medal the same day.
Wednesday, October 19
Team Sweden vs Team Denmark
The defending champions, Team Sweden will face Denmark in the opening game of the 2022 Nordic U17 Championship tournament.
