Official logo of 1st IFAF Beach Football World Championship unveiled

Organizers of the first ever IFAF Beach Football World Championship have unveiled  the official artwork and logo of the event.

As announced, Costa Rica, a Central American country, will host the competition from November 2 – 5, 2017. The country is famous for its incredible beaches which are among the most beautiful in the world. Costa Rica also offers outstanding tourism attractions and is one of the more secure countries in the world. For many years, Costa Rica has been considered the happiest country in the world according to the Happy Planet Index.

The logo combines key elements of flag football and Costa Rica. Besides the recognizable image of an American football, the horizontal ribbons depict the colors of the Costa Rican flag. Those ribbons symbolize the sea, waves, beaches and of course – flags for flag football.

Teams will compete in three categories: men, women and mixed. Participants must be 18 years old and older to play in the men’s tournament, while the age limit for women is 16 and older.
