Poland: Wrocław Panthers dominate Kraków Kings to strengthen playoff position

The Wrocław Panthers (4-2) took control early and never looked back, rolling past the Kraków Kings (2-4) 48-14 in Polish Football League action and completing a season sweep of their conference rivals.

Panthers set the tone early

The visitors wasted no time establishing themselves. The opening points came when the Wrocław defense forced a safety after a holding penalty in the Kraków end zone, giving the Panthers a 2-0 lead.

Moments later, Re-Al Mitchell directed another scoring drive, capped by a 20-yard touchdown run from Krystian Stępczak. By the end of the first quarter, the Panthers already held an 8-0 advantage and had firmly seized momentum.

Offense catches fire

The second quarter turned into an offensive showcase for Wrocław. Although the Kings briefly cut the deficit when Braden Howell connected with Krzysztof Latusek on a 50-yard touchdown pass, the Panthers answered immediately.

Stępczak scored his second touchdown of the game on a 15-yard run before Mitchell found Maksymilian Cybula for another score through the air.

The Kings stayed within striking distance thanks to a 30-yard touchdown pass from Howell to Michał Marchański, but Mitchell responded again, this time with a 10-yard touchdown run of his own. By halftime, Wrocław had built a comfortable 26-14 lead.

Mitchell finishes the job

Any hopes of a Kraków comeback disappeared after the break.

Mitchell continued to pick apart the defense, launching a 70-yard touchdown strike to Tomasz Burdziński in the third quarter. The Panthers added the two-point conversion to stretch their advantage to 34-14.

In the fourth quarter, Mitchell threw his fourth touchdown pass of the afternoon, finding Mikołaj Dziedzic for a 25-yard score. Wojciech Szymański added the extra point to complete the scoring.

Mitchell finished with four touchdown passes to four different receivers while also adding a rushing touchdown. Stępczak scored twice on the ground as the Wrocław Panthers delivered one of their most complete performances of the season.

For the Kraków Kings, Howell connected on touchdown passes to Latusek and Marchański, but the offense struggled to keep pace with a relentless Panthers attack in a decisive 48-14 defeat.
