Poland: Wrocław Panthers outlast Kraków Kings to stay in the playoff hunt
In an exciting Polish Football League matchup, the Wrocław Panthers (2-2) defeated the Kraków Kings (2-2) 39-24 this past weekend in Wroclaw. The Panthers demonstrated their offensive prowess, capitalizing on the Kings‘ mistakes to secure the victory.
Strong start sets the tone
The game kicked off with a touchdown pass from Re-al Mitchell to Krystian Stępczak, giving the Panthers an early 6-0 lead. The Kings responded quickly, with Braden Howell connecting with Michał Marchański for a touchdown and a successful two-point conversion, putting them ahead 8-6.
Panthers pull ahead
In the second quarter, Mitchell found Kacper Chorążewski for another touchdown, followed by a field goal from Wojciech Szymański. A safety increased the lead to 18-8, and Mitchell later connected with Tomasz Burdziński to extend the score to 25-8 in favor of the Panthers.
Wroclaw continued the offensive onslaught in the third quarter, with Mitchell throwing another touchdown to Burdziński, making it 32-8. Although the Kings fought back with a touchdown from Howell to Szymon Lorenc, it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

The fourth period saw Mitchell toss another touchdown pass to Burdziński, solidifying the Panthers‘ lead at 39-16. Kraków managed a late touchdown, but the Panthers held on for the win. With this victory, the Wrocław Panthers stay in playoff contention at the midpoint of their season.
