Prague Black Panthers name Darius Saint-Robinson as new Head Coach
The Prague Black Panthers have made a major coaching move ahead of the 2026 Austrian Football League season, signing former star defensive back Darius Saint-Robinson as their new head coach. The respected veteran brings a decorated playing resume and natural leadership qualities to his first major head coaching role.
From elite player to sideline leader
Saint-Robinson’s credentials speak for themselves: a former NFL Buffalo Bills signee, European League of Football All-Star, and two-time team captain for both the Wroclaw Panthers and the ELF Munich Ravens. He was widely regarded as Europe’s top defensive back during his peak, earning #1 rankings from outlets like ELF Network and recognition as the #1 athlete in the Austrian Football League during his 2019 season with Raiders Tirol. His playing career also includes a Eurobowl championship with the New Yorker Lions and four titles as a team captain at Clemson University.
A new chapter in Prague
In a statement, Saint-Robinson expressed his readiness for this transition:
“While I’m grateful for what the game has given me as a player, I believe this next chapter calls for a deeper level of leadership and service. I’m motivated to step into that role and do whatever is necessary to support our athletes and help them reach their potential.”
His recent experience transitioning to wide receiver and winning two national championships in the United Kingdom in 2025 adds further depth to his understanding of the game. Now, he’ll look to translate his winning mindset and defensive expertise into success for the Black Panthers.
