QB Ben Holmes to return to the Vienna Vikings in 2025
One of the league’s best quarterbacks has chosen to come back to the ELF and return to the Austrian capital, in 29-year old passer Ben Holmes.
Holmes led the Vienna Vikings to a 13-1 record as Vienna flirted with a perfect season before falling to the Rhein Fire in the championship game last weekend. Holmes, in his first year in Europe was one of the league’s brightest new stars, orchestrating an exciting season Vikings fans will not forget anytime soon.
“Since day one everybody’s been welcoming with open arms. As the season went on I got closer and closer with everybody. You might not remember the score of a game, but you’ll remember the relationships you build here.”
