Quito Lobos Win Title In Ecuador
In the first ever American football championship game in Quito, Ecuador, the Quito Los Lobos defeated the Colorados de Santo Domingo 38-6.
Los Lobos totally controlled the game from the opening whistle scoring two touchdowns and adding two point conversions on both scores to take a 16-0 second quarter lead. Santo Domingo managed to find the end zone before halftime reducing the Los Lobos lead to 16-6.
But the second half was all Los Lobos as they scored three more times, finishing off the scoring with a pick six with little time remaining to give them the 38-6 win.
Thus, the Quito Los Lobos will go down in Ecuador’s American football history as the first champion ever.
