Raiders Tirol bolster offense with All Star WR Aaron Jackson
The Raiders Tirol, looking to improve on their 7-7 2025 campaign, have made a huge splash by signing one of the European football’s most electrifying players, wide receiver Aaron Jackson, for the 2026 season.
A major addition for Austria
This is a massive get for the Austrian franchise. Jackson comes directly from a strong 2025 season with the Berlin Rebels in the GFL, where he recorded 50 receptions for 861 yards and 9 touchdowns. His ability to score from anywhere on the field adds a new dimension to the Raiders‘ offense and immediately makes them a more dangerous team in the conference.
Dominating the European league
Before his stint in the GFL, Jackson’s two-year run with the Berlin Thunder in the ELF was nothing short of spectacular. In just 23 games, he hauled in 123 passes for 2,115 yards and a remarkable 26 receiving touchdowns. He wasn’t just a receiver, however; his value on special teams was immense. Jackson led the ELF in kick return yards with 1,045 and took six punts or kicks back for touchdowns during his time with the Thunder, showcasing his game-breaking speed and agility.
A collegiate star before coming overseas
Jackson’s prolific production in Europe was built on a strong college foundation. He began his career at Western Kentucky, where he caught 26 passes for 667 yards and 8 touchdowns in 10 games during the 2014 season. He then transferred to Benedictine College, an NAIA school in Kansas, where he truly broke out. Over two seasons and 24 games, he amassed 116 receptions for 2,158 receiving yards and an incredible 34 touchdowns, earning All-NAIA Team honors and helping his team to a national championship runner-up finish.
Bringing his talents to Tirol
The 30-year-old native of Frankfort, Kentucky is now set for his first experience playing in Austria. For the Raiders Tirol, signing a player of Jackson’s caliber—a two-time ELF All-Star and the league’s 2024 receiving yards leader—signals a serious intent to compete for a championship. His veteran presence and proven production will be counted on to lead the team to a winning record and beyond in 2026.
