Silesia Rebels ground Kings in hard-fought Polish Football League season opener

The Silesia Rebels (1-0) opened their Polish Football League campaign with a decisive 29–13 victory over the Kraków Kings (0-1), using a strong second-half surge to pull away in a physical rivalry matchup.

Tucker leads offensive charge
After trading first-half touchdowns—with Silesia answering a Braden Howell to Michał Marchański score with a Jeremiah Tucker to Ryan Wakeling connection—the Rebels took control after halftime. Tucker added two rushing touchdowns, and running back Tomasz Leśniak punched in another to build a commanding lead. Kicker Sebastian Iwanicki added a field goal and two extra points.

Defense contains Kings’ attack
Though Kraków managed a late fourth-quarter touchdown on another Howell pass, this time to Krzysztof Karpsource, the Rebels defense limited big plays and largely contained the Kings’ reshaped offense. The unit held firm when it mattered, especially through a scoreless third quarter that allowed Silesia to build its lead.

Strong start to rivalry season
The win gives the Rebels early momentum in what has historically been a tight series. For the Kings, it was a tough debut under new leadership, though flashes from Howell and his receivers showed promise. Silesia will look to carry this physical, balanced performance into their next contest as they eye another playoff run.
