Spain: Badalona Dracs sign American defensive tackle Tanner True for LNFA season
The Badalona Dracs have added size, experience and versatility to their defensive front with the signing of American defensive tackle Tanner True for Spain’s upcoming Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano (LNFA) season.
The Dracs are looking to take the next step after reaching the 2026 LNFA championship game, where they fell 27-13 to the Las Rozas Black Demons.
The 24-year-old, 6-foot-2½, 304-pound lineman from Colorado arrives with four years of NCAA Division II experience and a productive first professional season in Finland.
Proven college performer
True spent his collegiate career at Chadron State College, appearing in 45 games as a four-year starter.
He recorded 140 tackles, including 24.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks, earning two All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selections and one honorable mention.
A three-time team captain, True also received Strength and Conditioning All-American recognition.
Primarily a nose tackle, he can line up at multiple positions across the defensive front and has experience playing center.
Strong debut in Finland
True made his European debut in 2026 with the Lohja Crusaders in Finland’s Division 1, helping the club reach the Spaghetti Bowl championship game.
In eight games, he recorded 38 tackles, nine tackles for loss and three sacks, leading the team in tackles for loss and ranking second in sacks.
He also earned a call-up to the Tampere Saints of Finland’s top-tier Maple League, starting three games and contributing nine tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception.
Adding muscle up front
For the Dracs, True brings a physical presence capable of occupying blockers, disrupting running plays and generating interior pressure.
With Badalona coming off a championship game appearance, his versatility and experience could prove valuable as the club looks to close the gap on the defending champion Black Demons.
