Spain: Fuengirola Potros Appoint Jeremy Meyer to Director of Football Operations

The Fuengirola Potros have appointed Jeremy Meyer from Norway as Director of Football Operations.

The Andalusia-based football team adds the experienced Norwegian as they look to compete in the upcoming season in Spain’s Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano (LNFA) Serie A once again.

The 37-year-old Kristiansand native brings a host of football experience to Spain’s southern coast.  Meyer has worked in the US for USA Football and the U.S National football team. Meyer also has experience in the college ranks with Citrus College (Juco) and Occidental (NCAA D3). The Scandinavian also spent time working in California’s semi-pro and women’s leagues with the Inglewood Blackhawks, SoCal Spartans, Los Angeles Outlaws (LCFL) California Quake (IWFL), and Los Angeles Lynx ( WFA).

In his new role in Fuengirola, Meyer will be responsible for all operations related to Fuengirola Potros. Meyer will also be working with Potros in an effort to take the team’s brand to a new international level.

The addition of a Meyer to the Potros program shows a continued commitment from the Fuengirola organization to building the sport of American football in Spain’s Andalusia region. Fans can expect to see the Potros back in action early next year as the LNFA kicks off on January 15th.
