Spain’s Las Rozas Black Demons sign LB William Lloyd

The Las Rozas Black Demons gave their defense a boost with the signing of heavy-hitting linebacker William Lloyd (Troy University, NCAA, Div. 1 FBS).

Lloyd had originally signed to play for Austria’s Swarco Raiders before they opted out of the pandemic shortened season.

The 6′, 220 pound 25-year-old native of Bessemer, Alabama who grew up in Rosedale, Mississippi, spent the 2019 season with the Ravensburg Razorbacks in Germany’s GFL2. Playing as a linebacker, Lloyd topped the league in tackles by a wide margin recording 151 (11.6/game).

A graduate of Troy University where he played for two years, Lloyd amassed 143 tackles and 17 tackles for loss in 2015 and 2016, second best on the team while starting at WILL linebacker. He also had 4.5 sacks. He opened the 2015 season with 15 tackles at NC State, the most tackles in a debut by a Trojan in school history and the seventh most overall in a game in Troy history. Lloyd had played for two seasons at East Mississippi Community College recording 99 tackles.
