Sweden’s Isaac Moore made the cut with Ottawa REDBLACKS

The Ottawa REDBLACKS have announced that offensive lineman Isaac Moore from Örebro, Sweden, a top selection in the 2023 Global Draft, has made the cut and has been moved to the practice roster.

The 6’7″, 300 pound 26 year old from Temple University (NCAA Division-I) in Philadelphia was selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2023 Global Draft and spent the season with the Stampeders. Prior to signing with Calgary, he had attended minicamps in 2023 with the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

In college, Moore played 57 games over five seasons at Temple. He was a five-year starter at left tackle for the Owls and set a school record with 57 consecutive games played.

In 2022, Moore was part of an offensive line that offered the best pass protection in the American Athletic Conference with just 10 sacks allowed in 12 games. His interest-catching performance is all the more noteworthy given the fact that Temple struggled in 2022, finishing with a record of 3-7. This did not stop Moore from shining throughout the year. As the catalyst leader of the Owls offensive line, Moore would help pave the way for running back Edward Saydee who rushed for 639 yards in 2022 which included an incredible 265 yard rushing day against the University of South Florida.
