Swedish Superserien: Oslo Vikings sign former Div. I QB CJ Fowler

Norway’s Oslo Vikings who will be playing in the Swedish Superserien in 2024, have announced the signing of former Div. 1 quarterback CJ Fowler.

The 6’2″, 220 pound native of Apache Junction, Arizona spent parts of the 2023 season with the Swarco Raiders in the Austrian Football League where in two games he threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned to the Tychy Falcons in the Polish Football League where he played in the latter part of the 2022 season.

Fowler spent his senior college season (2019) at Western New Mexico University (NCAA Div. II) where he completed 246 of 475 passes for 3,232 yards while tossing 22 touchdown passes. He had previously played for Mississippi Valley State University (NCAA Div. I) in 2017 and 2018 where he threw for a total  of 2,283 yards and nine touchdowns in his 18 games.
