France: Thonon Black Panthers roll past Villepinte Diables Rouge in dominant win

The Thonon Black Panthers (4–0) continued their unbeaten start to the D1 Elite season with a commanding 41–6 victory over the struggling Villepinte Diables Rouge (0–4) in a lopsided contest at home.

Ground game sets the tone
From the opening drive, Thonon established control with a powerful rushing attack. Running back Lucas Davoine found the end zone twice in the first half, while teammates Mehdy Radeau and Pierre-Yves Dayres also contributed touchdowns as part of a relentless offensive display. The Black Panthers built a 27–0 halftime lead, overwhelming Villepinte’s defense with both efficiency and physicality.

Thonon maintains control
The second half followed a similar script, with Thonon sticking to their game plan and continuing to pile on points. Davoine and Dayres each added to their scoring totals, showcasing the depth and consistency of the Black Panthers’ run-heavy approach. The Diables Rouge avoided a shutout when Cedrick Michaud scored late in the game, but the outcome was never in doubt.

Panthers remain team to beat
With the win, Thonon remains atop the standings and reinforces its status as the team to beat in the D1 Elite. Their balanced offense and disciplined execution have made them a tough opponent for any team. For Villepinte, the search for their first win continues, though a late score provided a small positive in an otherwise challenging day. The Black Panthers look every bit the championship contender as they head into the heart of their schedule.
