Thonon-les-bains Rolls Over Nice, Advances to FFFA Finale

Black Panthers earn right to defend their French American Football title and retain the ‘Casque De Diamant’

The Thonon-les-bains Black Panthers and the Nice Dauphins met for the third consecutive year in the Federation Francaise Football Americain (FFFA) Elite semi-finals. The Dauphins, who filled the vacancy left by the Elancourt Templiers disqualification, visited Thonon and were expected to offer a strong opposition to the Black Panthers. The Dauphins efficient American quarterback, T.J. Pryor,  arrived mid-season in Nice and and was unknown to the Black Panthers defense in the clubs first meeting.

However, the Black Panthers qualified for the championship final of France U.S., beating the Dauphins ‘like a fish out of water’ 38-0. French national team running back Stephen Yepmo and the Black Panthers offensive and defensive lines dominated the line of scrimmage.

With the win the Black Panthers earn the right to defending their title next Saturday, June 28th at Stade Charlety in Paris against the Molosses d’Asnieres-sur-seine.
