Turkey: Koc Rams re-sign championship-winning QB David Whipple

The Koc Rams have re-signed the quarterback who led them to their third straight Turkish championship title, David Whipple from Miles College (NCAA Div. II).

Whipple, 6’1″, 180 lb from Gordon, Georgia enjoyed an outstanding season with the Rams in 2018 leading them to their third straight Turkish title as well as a berth in the Central European Football League, CEFL, championship game.

He had a superb career playing for the Miles College Golden Bears and in his senior year threw for 1,639 yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for another 125 and four touchdowns.

Rams head coach Saygun Ofluoglu:

“He is a good leader on and off the field. He has a great attitude and calm personality. His pocket presence was great last year and this was one of the main reasons we re-signed him. And he moved the chains with his legs when we needed it. We are planning to have another great season with him. “
