Two new stats leaders in Sweden with one week left of regular season

The Swedish Superserien has a pair of new stats leaders  as the league heads into the final weekend of play.

The four teams in the league this year – the Stockholm Mean Machines, Carlstad Crusaders, Örebro Black Knights and Uppsala 86ers – have just one game left of the regular season.

Passing

Stockholm’s Tim Morovick regained the lead after throwing for 244 yards and 3 TDs in last week’s win over Uppsala and now has 648 yards. Danny Farley of the Carlstad Crusaders has dropped down to 2nd with 596 yards while Jake Sisson of the Örebro Black Knights is now 3rd with 406 yards. Mean Machines Jan Weinreich has slipped down to 4th with his 406 yards while Alf Ransjö rounds out the top 5 with 164 yards.

Rushing

Carlstad’s Emil Knutsson holds onto top spot despite a mediocre day rushing the football against the Black Knights. He has 257 yards rushing. Tim Göransson of the Mean Machines now has 233 yards advancing him up into 2nd while Mean Machines QB Tim Morovick climbed up into 3rd with 197 yards. Kasper Wedberg of the Black Knights was idle and has slipped down to 4th with 188 yards while Crusaders RB Emil Östlund has 159 yards and is 5th.

Receiving

Mean Machines receiver, Pär Lindelöf  made the biggest move this week jumping from 4th to 1st with 241 yards receiving. Right behind him in 2nd is teammate Ben von Jagow with 238 yards while another teammate, Edvin Almeida Taborda is now 3rd with 229 yards.  Carlstad’s  Jacob Bergwall is now the 4th leading receiver with 214 yards. Rounding out the Top 5 is Kevin Börzsei of the Crusaders with 195 yards.
