Vienna Knights defeat Swarco Raiders Tirol 36-15 in Austrian Football League showdown

In an impressive display, the Speedfit Vienna Knights (2-0) secured their second consecutive victory in the Austrian Football League, defeating the Swarco Raiders Tirol (0-2) 36-15 at Helfortplatz.

The Knights’ offensive firepower and stingy defense were on full display enabling the newcomers to the AFL to continue their strong start to the season.

Knights take charge early
The game kicked off with the Knights quickly establishing dominance. Quarterback Chad Jeffries connected with Simon Kalkhofer and Maximillion Fine for multiple touchdowns, racking up 22 points in the first half. The Raiders managed to respond with a rushing touchdown from Kenyatte Allen, but the Knights maintained control.

Second half surge
After halftime, the Knights continued their offensive onslaught. Michael Schachermayr and Fine each found the end zone again, extending the lead. The Raiders fought back with a touchdown from Elija Heiß and a field goal from Lorenz Kriwak, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

A historic moment occurred as Knights kicker Lisa-Marie Tritscher booted four extra points, marking the first AFL points scored by a woman.
