LIVESTREAM Hungary: Győr Sharks @ Budapest Wolves, June 19, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 9:00 am ET)

The second round of the regular season of the Hungarian Football League continues with a decisive, all or nothing game, as the Budapest Wolves host the Győr Sharks for a spot in the Hungarian Bowl.

The Wolves have two shots to qualify for the finals. Either they win by more than seven points, or win by less but then have to beat the Fehérvár Enthroners as well. The Wolves’ defense is in a good form with defensive end Bálint Kozma continuously posing a threat to the opponents’ offense and defensive back Jamaal Lane fitting in quite nicely. Nevertheless, there are still too many turnovers from the offense which needs to be adjusted, if István Kovács’ team wants to face the Enthroners in the Hungarian Bowl.

The injury-depleted Győr Sharks are not in the best situation defensively since linebacker Maximo Sánchez’s return is questionable, while defensive back Dániel Seres is out due to a knee injury. Head coach Gábor Boda is not in the easiest situation because key players might be missing from the defense. On the other hand, the offense is still red hot despite having only one touchdown against the Enthroners in the last game against them. Nevertheless, the Sharks are the only team to score points against the defending champion. Győr has a variety of skilled players, especially among the receivers, László Benedek, Péter Keller and Péter Várfalvi who are all reliable for quarterback Chris Jeffrey.
