LIVESTREAM NAIA: OPSU Aggies @ Nelson University Lions, Oct. 10, 21:00 CET (9 pm, 3 pm ET)

The Nelson University Lions (1–4) host the Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies (2–4) on Saturday, October 10, at Lumpkins Stadium, in an NAIA matchup featuring two teams desperately searching for a change in fortunes.

Both teams have endured difficult stretches, with the Aggies dropping three straight games and the Lions managing just one victory this season.

Lions looking for offensive spark

Nelson enters the contest following a 44–16 loss to Howard Payne, hoping to rediscover the offensive production it showed earlier against Texas Wesleyan.

In that 41–16 defeat, quarterback Judah Holtzclaw threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, including an 85-yard scoring strike to Jermaine Jones, who finished with 157 receiving yards.

Defensively, linebackers Xavier Garcia and Landry Leggett provide experience, while freshman Ryan Lynch has demonstrated his pass-rushing ability.

Aggies trying to stop the slide

Oklahoma Panhandle State arrives following a 42–14 loss to Wayland Baptist, its third consecutive defeat.

The Aggies have struggled to find consistency, but Saturday offers an opportunity to halt their losing streak against another team searching for answers.

Longtime European football followers may remember former Aggies head coach Mike Wyatt, whose extensive coaching career across Europe left a lasting impression before his untimely passing in 2010.

Something has to give

Neither team enters with much momentum, but both have plenty to play for.

For Nelson, it’s a chance to build on its lone victory over Arkansas Baptist. For Oklahoma Panhandle State, it’s an opportunity to avoid a fourth straight defeat and get its season moving in the right direction.
