Germany: Berlin Adler sign DB Emmanuel Pelzer

The Berlin Adler of the German Football League (GFL) have signed defensive back Emmanuel Pelzer

Berlin Adler HC Shuan Fatah:

“Manny is a high energy guy and a heck of a football player. We connected very fast and I really enjoy his positive energy and All-in mentality. He fits our profile perfectly and will be without any doubt a huge addition to our already very talented football squad.”

The 6’0 192-pound free safety/strong safety hybrid from Kennesaw, Georgia played his final year before going to the pros at Rowan University, an NCAA Division III school in Glassboro, New Jersey. In nine games for Rowan, Pelzer accumulated 36 total tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, and 2 pass breakups.  His performance with Rowan comes after he transferred from Saddleback College. In his 2018 stint with Saddleback as an outside linebacker (six games), Pelzer racked up 20 total tackles, including eight for a loss, two pass breakups, a sack, and a blocked kick. Pelzer has been a key defender on football teams throughout his football career, also receiving all-region and all-state honors in high school.

Pelzer now joins a Berlin Adler team coming off an impressive 2021 campaign with a record of 8-0-1. This resulted in the Adler being promoted to GFL 1 from GFL 2.  He will bolster an Adler defense that will be under the direction of a new defensive coordinator in Jose Schmitt, an experienced coach on the defensive side of the field.
