Hamburg Sea Devils sign former NFL lineman Brandon Noble as Defensive Coordinator

The Hamburg Sea Devils of the European League of Football (ELF) have signed former NFL defensive tackle Brandon Noble as their defensive coordinator for the 2024 season.

The 49 year old Noble will be replacing Kendral Ellison who departed for the Munich Ravens as their new head coach. Noble’s professional career spanned eight years, seven of which were in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Redskins, and two years in NFL Europe with the Barcelona Dragons. Noble’s time in Europe will have undoubtedly influenced his decision to come back over and coach in its self proclaimed replacement. 

Following his departure from a successful NFL career in 2006 caused by a serious staph infection, MRSA which almost ended his life, Noble recuperated and began coaching at the college level and even spent time with Coastal Carolina and Temple University as a defensive line coach. Noble left Temple in 2013 and hasn’t coached college football since.

Noble will have one of the strongest domestic rosters and an extremely well coached defense as his disposal in Hamburg. Despite not coaching high-level football in some time, Noble has a wealth of experience at the highest level and may give the Sea Devils the boost they need to get back into the postseason.
