UFL: St. Louis Battlehawks rally for thrilling comeback against Stallions
In a dramatic showdown, the St. Louis Battlehawks (2-1) overcame a late deficit to defeat the Birmingham Stallions (1-2) 34-30 at The Battledome on Sunday. The game featured a wild fourth quarter, highlighted by a remarkable performance from quarterback Harrison Frost, who led the Battlehawks to victory after entering the game at halftime.
Defensive fireworks ignite the game
The Battlehawks’ defense set the tone early, with Jordan Williams intercepting Birmingham quarterback Matt Corral for a pick-six on the Stallions’ second play from scrimmage. St. Louis quickly jumped to a 10-0 lead after Nevelle Clark’s interception led to a 54-yard field goal by Tucker McCann. However, Birmingham responded with a touchdown from Corral to tight end Jordan Thomas, narrowing the gap to 10-7.
The first half was chaotic, featuring four turnovers and a goal-line stand by Birmingham’s Tae Crowder, who made a crucial tackle for loss. The Battlehawks held a slim 13-7 lead at halftime.
Stallions surge ahead

However, Frost’s first pass was intercepted by Mario Goodrich, who returned it for a touchdown, giving the Stallions a 16-13 lead. The Stallions extended their advantage to 23-13 after another touchdown, leaving St. Louis in a tough spot.
Battlehawks mount a comeback
As the fourth quarter began, Frost found Hakeem Butler for a 31-yard reception, setting up a touchdown pass to McBride. Corral quickly answered with a 67-yard touchdown to Cain, but Frost responded with a 64-yard touchdown to Butler, pulling the Battlehawks to within three.
With time running out, Frost led a final drive, culminating in a touchdown by Tyler Neville, giving St. Louis a 34-30 lead. The Battlehawks’ defense held strong, forcing four incompletions to seal the victory.
Frost finished with three touchdowns, while Butler had a standout game with four receptions for 146 yards. The Battlehawks will next face the D.C. Defenders on Saturday, looking to continue their winning momentum.
