No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing, according to the NYPD.
Cleveland Browns safety Ronnie Hickman was attacked by four men inside a New York City hotel after an argument turned physical, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the situation.
The attack occurred inside the Sixty LES hotel on Allen Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Sources told NBC New York that the 24-year-old Hickman was at the front desk of the hotel when four men recognized him and tried to talk to the NFL player. When he tried to dismiss them, the men got angry and allegedly punched him in the face.
The men ran from the scene. Hickman was treated for minor injuries and released, the team said. He was said to be back home resting with his family.

An undrafted free agent out of Ohio State, Hickman has played 41 games over three seasons, recording 173 tackles, three interceptions and one fumble recovery.
