Tough start for Nitra

The scoring finally opened in the second quarter when Patrik Klementovič rushed into the end zone from 2 yards out, giving Nitra a brief lead. However, the Patriots quickly responded with quarterback Patrik Vainer scoring on a 1-yard run. Just before halftime, Adam Heller kicked a 45-yard field goal, putting Pilsen ahead 10-7.
