ELF: Istanbul Rams sign former Marshall University QB Isaiah Green

The Istanbul Rams of the European League of Football have signed former Marshall/Tennessee State University (NCAA DI) quarterback Isaiah Green for the remainder of the 2022 season. The announcement comes as the winless Rams part ways with former starter Australian Jared Stegman

The 6’2″, 216-pound, 23-year-old from Fairburn, Georgia spent his junior season (2021) with the Tennessee State Tigers (NCAA Div. I FCS) starting five of the seven games he played completing 76 of 131 passes for 916 yards. Green played two seasons (2018, 2019) with Marshall University (NCAA Div. I FBS) where he threw for 4,897 yards and 30 touchdowns. Green is also a dual-threat passer as he ran for 441 yards and six touchdowns during his NCAA career

Green recently finished his first season of international football in Serbia playing for the Kragujevac Wild Boars. Green was named MVP of the Serbian league and led the Wild Boars to the Serbian Bowl last week where they fell just short of the title losing 24-17.

Green is one of a few new signings during Istanbul’s bye week as Green will join new receiver Terryon Robinson (Western Carolina NCAA D1 FCS) and Feli Manoka. The Rams also signed two new Turkish players in Emre Özdemir and Nimet Han Aydın
