ELF: Milano Seamen visit Munich Ravens in must win game for both teams

The Milano Seamen visit the Munich Ravens as one of the European League of Football’s most anticipated games this Sunday.

The Seamen find themselves at 1-4 approaching the season’s midway point, while the Munich Ravens sit at 2-3 through five games.

The Ravens enter this game following a phenomenal first half showing against the Rhein Fire last week. The Ravens gave the league’s top team two quarters of great football before the second half saw the Rhein Fire pulling away as big play after big play left Munich with a loss. The physical game last week could have Munich licking their wounds, as quarterback Chad Jeffries and defensive back Justin Rogers looked beat up at the end of last week’s game.

One X-factor to watch today is Munich wide receiver Markell Caste, as he goes up against his former team. Today they host a Milano team that seem to be improving week in and week out.

The Seamen come into this game following what some might say was a moral victory. They fell just short at home to the Frankfurt Galaxy last week as they had a shot to win the game in the final possession before falling 40-33. The much-improved Milano offense of course features quarterback Luke Zahradka. Zahradka and the rest of the Seamen team surely see themselves as underdogs but have proven they have the talent off pull off an upset in the ELF.

Both of these teams need this win if they want to have any shot of competing for the league’s few remaining playoff spots.
