ELF: Prague Lions sign NFL International Pathway Program invite Emmanuel Falola

The Prague Lions of the European League of Football have signed Team Great Britain linebacker and former NFL International Pathway Program (IPP) and CFL Global Combine invitee Emmanuel Falola for the 2023 season.

Falola most recently suited up for the Bristol Aztecs in the Premiership of the British football league where he played a pivotal role in the defense during their 2022 playoff run. The 6 ‘2, 230-pound linebacker passes the eye test and matches that with explosive downhill tackling.

Falola’s raw measurables have garnered interest from scouts in both the NFL and CFL over the last two years, earning himself an appearance at both the IPP (2021/22) and CFL Global Combine (2022/23) twice.

Prior to his time at the Aztecs, Folala played in another Premiership team for the Kent Exiles in southeast London and in the second division of the university league for Coventry. For both sides, Folala was the team’s leading tackler and led Coventry to back-to-back Division 2 Championships in 2018 and 2019.

Of his signing, Lions Head Coach Zach Harrod commented:

“Emmanuel might not be well known yet, but we believe that this will change soon.  His numbers and instinct are off the charts, plus he is hungry to show that this is where he belongs.  Can’t wait to watch him make some noise for us in 2023!”
