ELF: Tirol Raiders sign ex Bowling Green standout DB Devin Taylor

The Tirol Raiders have announced the signing of their third American import for the 2024 European League of Football season as ex Bowling Green/Virginia Tech defensive back Devin Taylor joins the team.

The 6’1″, 200 pound 27 year old native of Lansing, Michigan spent the 2023 season with the Philadelphia Stars in the now defunct USFL where he played in five games. He spent the 2022 preseason with the Washington Commanders after one season at Bowling Green University (2021) where he racked up 37 tackles earning him first-team Pro Football Focus All-MAC honors.

He had transferred to the Falcons from Virginia Tech where in 2020 he played in 10 games starting the last eight. He was fourth on the team with 36 solo tackles while snagging two interceptions. He spent three seasons (2017-2019) at Illinois State where he played in 35 games finishing with 118 career tackles (80 solo), nine interceptions and 31 passes defended. He was named a third-team FCS All-American in 2019 and a first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honoree.

Taylor is the third A import for the Raiders with the 2024 ELF season set to kick off on May 25.
